Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Lunker AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Lunker AI mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

2.1 How Your Data Powers Recommendations for Other Users
Lunker AI's spot recommendation and pattern analysis features are powered by aggregating catch data submitted by all users. When you log a catch — including location, species, time of day, water conditions, and bait used — that entry is combined with data from other anglers in our system to build regional pattern models. These models are what generate fishing spot recommendations for you and other users.
This data exchange happens entirely on our backend. No other user can see your individual catch entries, photos, account information, or identity. Your data contributes to shared pattern models only in anonymized and aggregated form. You will never appear by name, profile, or any personally identifiable information in another user's experience of the App.
If you prefer that your catch data not contribute to recommendations for other users, you may opt out by navigating to Settings > Privacy > Community Data Sharing and toggling off the setting.
3.1 Sale of Aggregated Fishing Data
Lunker AI may sell or license aggregated fishing data to third parties. This data may include catch trends, fish species distribution, catch location data (at a regional or coordinate level), time-of-catch patterns, water conditions, and bait or lure usage. This data is compiled across our user base to identify patterns and trends in angling activity.
Third parties who may purchase or license this data include fishing tackle and bait brands, outdoor sporting goods companies, conservation and wildlife research organizations, government and wildlife management agencies, and data analytics firms.
While this data does not include your name, email address, or account credentials, catch data combined with precise location and device identifiers may constitute "personal information" under certain applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). California residents and residents of other states with applicable data rights have the right to opt out of the sale of their data. To exercise this right, navigate to Settings > Privacy > Data Sales Opt-Out, or contact us at privacy@lunkerai.com.
3.2 Service Providers
We may share information with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the App, including cloud hosting and storage providers, AI and machine learning infrastructure providers, analytics and crash reporting services, and customer support platforms. These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only to perform services on our behalf.
3.3 Aggregated and Anonymized Data
We may publish or share aggregated, de-identified fishing trend data that cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual user.
3.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Lunker AI, our users, or the public.
3.5 Business Transfers
If Lunker AI is acquired, merged, or undergoes a change of ownership, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and give you the opportunity to delete your account.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 6). Fish photos are retained to support your personal catch log and AI analysis history. You may delete individual catch entries and their associated photos at any time within the App.

6.1 Access and Correction
You may access and update your account information at any time through your profile settings in the App.
6.2 Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data by contacting us at privacy@lunkerai.com. We will process your request within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.
6.3 Opt Out of AI Training
By default, anonymized and aggregated versions of your catch data may be used to train and improve our AI models. You may opt out at any time by navigating to Settings > Privacy > AI Training Data.
6.4 Location Data
You can revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. This will not affect previously collected location data but will prevent future GPS tagging.
6.5 Push Notifications
You can manage push notification preferences through your device settings or within the App under Settings > Notifications.
6.6 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. To opt out, navigate to Settings > Privacy > Data Sales Opt-Out or contact us at privacy@lunkerai.com.
6.7 European Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. Contact us at privacy@lunkerai.com to exercise your rights.
Lunker AI is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, please contact us at privacy@lunkerai.com.
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
